Examples & Definitions
Spine Hubs
Spine hubs are the lines found on the spine. There are two types of spine hubs.
Raised: where small peices of leather lace are used to create protruding hubs.
Tooled: where lines are tooled into the cover leather to create indentations. Or you may also choose to do both.

Yapp
Yapp is the extra material that hangs over the text block.
Standard Yapp: 3/8", the same width as the fold-over.
Generous Yapp: Longer than standard yapp but does not touch.
Full Yapp: The yapp will touch and be able to cover the text block completely.

Fore-Edge Art
There are a few different styles that can be applied to the page edges.
Art Gilt: when you apply coloring underneath the page gilding.
Fore-Edge Coloring: When you remove the gilding and apply fore-edge coloring. This can be either a solid color, or abstract coloring.
Page Speckling: When you apply paint speckling on top of the base coloring.

Spine Stamping
There are currently three options for the logo when stamping the spine.
Solid Palmetto: Only available on certain leathers due to issues with stamping on oily/grainy leather.

Tooled Perimeter: A line is tooled around the perimeter of the cover.
Perimeter Stitching: Hand stitching around the perimeter of the cover.
Tooled Block: A line is tooled on the cover that goes around the perimeter of the text block.
Interior Gilt Line: A line of gold or silver around the perimeter of the edge line on the perimeter of the cover
